Romeo and Juliet is a party quest centered around Nihal Desert's Magatia region. Either Romeo or Juliet can be talked to in order to start the Party Quest, and you can access this PQ via Spiegelmann's Guest House through the Dimensional Mirror, as well as through Zenumist Society for Romeo, or Alcadno Society for Juliet.

The objective of Romeo and Juliet is to help Romeo/Juliet (depending on who you choose), two lovers separated by their factions as alchemists, bring them together, as well as figure out why their two factions are disputing.

Stage 1

Mysterious Lab

The first stage of this Party Quest requires you and your party members to search for a button in shining patches of light around the map, among the various books and chalkboards. Clicking on these spots may yield either 500 EXP, 500 Mesos, a love letter, nothing, or the button needed to progress, which is indicating by a prompt asking you to activate a switch.

Note: To fight Angry Frankenroid, the first step is to find a love letter written by the opposite lover (for example, if you are helping Romeo, you need a letter written by Juliet, and vice versa), and save it for later.

Stage 2

Laboratory Tunnel

For the second stage, eliminate all the Homuns and Saities to proceed to the next stage.

Stage 3

Unpleasant Lab

The third stage of this Party Quest has Homunculi that drop Suspicious Liquids, of which you can only carry one at a time. The objective is to fill up each of the 3 beakers in the map by clicking on them with a liquid in possession. The beakers are cracked and will leak until they are filled, at which point the crack disappears. Once all 3 beakers are filled, the party will be able to proceed.

Stage 4

Special Lab

The fourth stage of this Party Quest has Neo Huroids that drop Card Keys, which will allow you to go into the doors located on either side of the map. Only one player needs to go into each door at a time, and once a player enters, they will have to break some crates to obtain either Zenumist's Experiment Files or Alcadno's Experiment Files, depending on which door is entered. Once you obtain both files, talk to Romeo/Juliet to proceed to the next stage.

Note: To fight Angry Frankenroid, the second step is to hand Romeo or Juliet the letter you obtained in Stage 1.

Stage 5

Yulete's Office

The fifth stage of this Party Quest has Yulete appear. When you move to the right, he will disappear and summon a swarm of Reinforced Iron Mutaes and Reinforced Mithril Mutaes. Defeat the monsters and then check the stacks of books, similar to the first stage. Once you find the correct book to progress, the door will appear leading to the next stage.

Note: To fight Angry Frankenroid, the third step is to click on / talk to Yulete before he summons monsters.

Stage 6

Lab Tunnel

The sixth stage of this Party Quest has four different doors, one for each party member, to enter. These doors have 5 levels to reach the top of the map. Each level has 4 platforms that you must press the Up key on, with one being the correct platform to the level above; the other 3 will send you back to the bottom of the map. Only one player needs to reach the top to reach the Entrance to Center Lab and have the party advance to the next stage.

Stage 7

Center Lab

This is the boss stage of the Party Quest. Yulete will appear again, and the party leader will have to talk to him to summon Frankenroid. There will be a ladder to a platform with Romeo/Juliet (the opposite person of who you're helping) collapsed in the middle of it, and a few Neo Huroids will spawn on the same platform, damaging them. If their health bar reaches zero, you will fail the party quest and must start over, although it should be possible to defeat Frankenroid before this happens.

Note: To fight Angry Frankenroid, the previous step must all have been completed, and you can talk to Yulete to summon Angry Frankenroid. To convince Yulete that his work can be used for good instead of evil, the party leader should select the 2nd option when speaking to him.

Stage 8

Traces of Yulete

This is the stage right before the reward stage of the Party Quest. Yulete will be here, and depending on the circumstances, he will either be lying unconscious on the ground, or if you summoned Angry Frankenroid by selecting the 2nd option, he will appear cleaned up and will decide to use his alchemy skills for good instead of evil.

Reward Stage

Romeo and Juliet

This is the reward stage of the Party Quest. Talk to whomever you decided to help and they will reward you a marble before sending you out of the Party Quest; if you helped Romeo, you will be given one Zenumist Marble, and if you helped Juliet, you will be given one Alcadno Marble. Afterward, you will be escorted out of the Party Quest.

Trivia

Naturally, this quest is a reference to William Shakespeare's famous tragedy Romeo and Juliet, with a lot of serious license taken. The Montague and Capulet families are changed to the feuding Zenumist and Alcadno guilds, the antagonist is made far more evil, and the ending is much happier for the nominal couple, but the basic plot is the same. The boss is another obvious literary reference, this one to Frankenstein.
