Job

Night Lord is a branch of the Explorer Thief class. Upon reaching Level 30, an Explorer Thief can become a Night Lord by choosing to become an Assassin after completing the 2nd Job Advancement at Level 30. Their second job is Assassin, their third job is Hermit, and their fourth job is Night Lord.

Class Specifics

The Night Lord job branch uses Throwing Stars alongside their primary weapon, Claws, and Charms as secondary weapons. They throw stars at enemies from afar to deal damage, with a new single-target attack in later job advancements. They have several attacks for dealing with multiple enemies, including Shuriken Burst, which tosses a flaming star at enemies, Gust Charm, which pushes enemies back, Shade Splitter, which summons shadows to attack enemies in front of the player, and Showdown, which deals significant damage and raises EXP and drop rate gained from enemies attacked. In 3rd job, they gain a skill called Shadow Partner, which mimics the player's attacks, using extra stars but dealing extra damage at a reduced rate.

Their job specialty skill is Assassin's Mark, which launches randomly-flying stars around to damage enemies while attacking. This skill is upgraded in 4th job with Night Lord's Mark, making it stronger and creating more stars that fly around.

Job Advancements

1st Job Advancement

When the player reaches Level 10 as a Beginner, aspiring Thieves will be sent to the Hideout in Kerning City to talk to the Dark Lord, who will advance the player to an Rogue. The player will be given an HP and MP boost, as well as a basic thief weapon.

2nd Job Advancement

At Level 30, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from the Dark Lord, who will send the player back to the Hideout. He will allow the player to choose to advance to either an Assassin or a Bandit; a player that desires to become a Night Lord will want to advance to an Assassin. The Dark Lord will send the player to a special map to collect 30 Dark Marbles from the Swamp Monsters inside. Upon returning, he will advance you to an Assassin.

3rd Job Advancement

At Level 60, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from the Dark Lord once again, who will teleport the player to the Chief's Residence in El Nath to speak with Arec. He will teleport the player to the Dead Mine's Holy Ground at the Snowfield, where the player must click on the Holy Stone at the bottom of the map to enter another dimension. Once there, walk to the right portal to enter the Dimensional World and defeat Dark Lord's Clone inside to obtain the Black Charm. Return to Arec with the quest item in hand to advance from an Assassin to a Hermit.

4th Job Advancement

At Level 100, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from Arec. After speaking to him, the player must head to Leafre and venture to the Forest of the Priest, which can be accessed by walking to Valley of the Antelope 1 and entering the portal on the top right (indicated by a wooden face-like structure) to meet Hellin. She will give the player the task to obtain the Heroic Pentagon from Manon, Herald of Heroes and the Heroic Star from Griffey Herald of Heroes. Return to Hellin and speak to her again to advance from a Hermit to a Night Lord.
