- Secondary weapons from Evolution System were renamed to "Evolving <Secondary Name>". I'll be working with renaming some of them, but in this case we can create separate pages for them.
- I pushed a temporary change to WzCR2 regarding Timeless Prelude. I'll have to get in touch with some of the creators to figure out another solution to clean it up. I did reply to the message before, but for whatever reason it didn't go through.
Hi PirateIzzy, I created pages for those weapons because they were dead links on the weapon pages e.g One-Handed Sword. I was in a slow process of cleaning those pages up through creating new pages for those links.
Those weapons were already on those pages when I got to editing them, so I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to remove. I’m actually in favour of discounting those weapons, however. Would it be okay with you if I removed them from those pages?
Regarding this, I was also wondering about the King Pepe's equipment gear. As you know, King Pepe was removed following the Mushroom Castle revamp, so these items are no longer obtainable. Some players, however, will remember King Pepe so I’m sure if we should keep them or remove them either. I only added King Pepe's Dim Memory for consistency, but I had second thoughts about adding it.
Sorry, haven't had the chance to reply to the 3rd and 4th paragraphs. For King Pepe gear, I would suggest keeping existing ones, but I would say it's a low priority. PVP gear and Explorer's equipment don't have to be added, especially if there are time-limited versions. I may have added some in the past, but I don't anymore.
Ok, thanks for taking your time to reply. Since some equipment have already been added, I’ll continue to add them while I am still updating the weapon pages unless you specifically want those to be removed. I will keep in mind to void time-limited versions.
Hi PirateIzzy, thank you very much for granting me administrator privileges. However, currently I don’t feel as though I can fulfil admin roles, as I’ve only been editing MapleWiki for a relatively short time and while I’ve contributed quite a bit, I don’t if I can stay committed to it for long.
If it’s possible though, could I request for a lesser custom role that shares some of the tools that admins use—since the admin tools will be useful—however, without the implications of becoming an admin? If not, I’m content without a role for now.
I appreciate your consideration for granting me admin privileges, but I don’t feel I’m ready for it. If I’m still here in a year or so’s time, then I might want to be considered again. Again, thanks very much.
Hello Ywdryu. For the drop tables and some of the equipment pages you added, there are some templates to provide a list of monsters that drop the equipment. For the most part, the basic equipment sets (Xth Warrior/Magician/etc) are standard, with weapons dropping as well. I have a few examples already here, for Level 30 weapons, Level 40 weapons, and Level 40 armor. The templates for those are as follows:
One thing of note is that level 15/25/35/etc weapons don't have specific drop lists dedicated to them, as they tend to drop separate from the other equipment, instead of grouped together based on class.
Unfortunately they aren't found in WzCR2, the only reliable source we have is the Codex, and it doesn't include everything unfortunately. I figured it out by hunting the monsters around those level ranges.
Side note: I fixed the formatting on the Red Misty page.
Ok, thank you for the reply. Do you know if you have all the monsters included? If not, and if I find a monster that might be on the list could I update it to the template page (I’ll probably do this at a later date if I get to it).
If it is complete, then I won’t meddle with it.
Also, some of the level 10 weapons such as De Mercurio uses both the level 10 and 20 templates, like how some of the level 30 weapons such as Pink Haze which uses both the level 30 template and the level 40 template. Another level 10 weapon like Blue Ravager only uses the level 20 template, so I was a bit confused regarding this.
To keep it consistent, I decided to apply the level 20 template, as well. Is it different for each weapon type? If not, let me know what would be the best template to adopt for the level 10 equipment. I think it should be kept consistent, if possible.
Some of the newer weapons don't have level 20 or 40 versions, but in this case it may be better to use the Level 10 and 20 Weapon (not Armor/Equipment) droplists. Nexon has a weird way of doing it for mobs equipment drops, as follows:
Level 10: Armor and Weapons
Level 20: Armor (and Weapons if they exist, Level 10 if not)
Level 30: Weapons (and Level 20 Armor)
Level 40: Armor (and Weapons if they exist, Level 30 if not)
Level 50: Weapons (and Level 40 Armor)
Level 60: Armor and Weapons
Level 70: Weapons (and Level 60 Armor)
Level 80: Armor and Weapons
Level 90: Weapons (and Level 80 Armor)
Level 100 - 140: Armor and Weapons
Even though some of these level ranges do have equipment that exists for those level ranges, such as Level 90 Armor, they aren't part of any of the basic class equipment sets for whatever reason. And even then, only one specific type of Level 10/20/40/60/80/100 Armor will count toward that set. But in any case, that's why I split weapons and armors into different templates for the earlier sets.
