  • What program do you use to do this?

      Loading editor
    • I use DVDVideoSoft. The Audio Converter program allows extension conversion, but normal conversions will have quality loss because the file is reconstructed to the new format. This program changes the extension and replaces the file information only, if you use its "Original" preset. There are other presets to choose from, but they do the one mentioned first.

    • On a non-related note: The max MaxHP of monsters can be found in the files as finalmaxHP. maxHP is just the min MaxHP.

    • Lol'd at the "max MaxHP". What's next Nexon?! Anyway thanks for the help.

  • Hey. So as you know we've been using the <tabber>-tag for a while now. Ever since I implemented it, I wanted to customize it, the style was horrible, and the way it folds when it's overridden sucks and looks horrible (Example: Cygnus Knights). The problem is that the style cannot be customized what so ever except for the length of it, I tried this several times already but no dice. I would like if we could stop using the tabber and instead make our own template which has one main page (the default landing tab) and several sub-pages (the other tabs).

    Pros:

    • Several pages with different content, faster loading for people with slow internet-connections.
      • Easier and faster editing is done due to this since you can find the content you want to change faster.
    • It can be customized down to the electron, with no boundaries.
    • Doesn't fold mid-way so that it looks horrible (._.).

    Cons:

    • May be technically difficult to achieve, I do not know yet.
    • Can't think of any. I'm too biased.

  • Did you seriously just block someone one month for writing an encoded version of the word penis? How is that a violation to any of the policies?

      Loading editor
    • It was not a "pen ranked #15". See http://maplestory.wikia.com/wiki/Sakura_Samurai. If it was pen15, I would give him a warning based on the current policy. Let's improve the policy, lest immature adults find loopholes and start to write stuff on articles.

      • For edits which are not quite sensible but has a connection to the game, either improve on it if it is credible, or revert the edit;
      • For edits which have absolutely no connection to the game, give a warning (the strikes thing still taking place);
      • For edits which are just utter nonsense (e.g. see title), give a block depending on seriousness.

      That can actually improve the system by a bit, so what do you think?

      This wiki has the two of us being active admins, and Fixin occasionally works behind the scenes. We also need to be careful in choosing an admin, since one admin can actually destroy the wiki in one night.

      There was a wiki which I participated in (not a Wikia-hosted one, neither was I an admin) about 4 years ago. Apparently it started off with a vandal which spammed "Question (a name) is a cocksucker" into articles to test the water. There were only 3 admins and very low wiki activity, and they happen to live in the Western time zones. I think it was raided a few hours later.

    • I thought you blocked the guy whom you reverted the string "pen15" from in his forum message, my mistake.

      Well, right now, the only really active editors on the wiki is you, me, Fixin and some other people who step by and contribute but doesn't stay too long.

      Currently we do not need more admins, as not too many people come by and vandalize, what we need is really more contributors, but with more contributors come more vandalism, so unless we're overflowed with vandalism that we can't handle we don't need more admins. Also, how active has D0raemon been lately?

      Also, add the 3 notes you brought up here to the policy above the block-chart which describes the amount of bytes for blocking.

    • D0raemon's latest activity was 6 days ago, but the time taken between edits is very irregular. I think he comes to the wiki once every week on average.

  • You shouldn't name any artwork with the suffix "intro", instead you should use M/Male/F/Female. The suffx "intro" is used on class logos, for example, File:Aran_intro.png.

    • Please specify the licensing of the image you're uploading on the wikia next time. On the upload page, the box to specify licensing is just under the big description box.

    • It does not look that way in the game. True, the XMLs look that way but in the WZextractor, it shows this

      Go to #b#m400020100##k or #b#m400010100##k and use #rFlame Surge 10 times#k on #b#o2400000##k by using the Dragon Link.<Flame Surge Command>#v03800327#

      I can also give you an ingame screenshot.

    • Well. Then they failed. They intend to make it look as it's structured with the new lines but it doesn't respond to it in-game. I honestly think it looks better with the intended look than rather just mash the text in on the same line. Like for the demandsummary in some cases looks just crap with lots of images on the same line.[1]

  • Hello, Richmond. I saw your javascript edits relating to search. Unfortunately, the change you made for the extra search button is considered a violation of our Terms of Use, and we need you to revert it. We made this determination several months ago when other wikis tried to implement a two button option for all users (it interferes with the intended design of the search field). This sort of solution is okay for personal use, however. Thanks.
