Dark World Tree is an area located near Sleepywood, where Damien's former (and current) soldiers reside. After Damien's defeat by the hands of the Heroes, Alchetto, the senior officer of the Demon army, ordered his forces to retreat and go back to Tynerum. However, hordes of demons, corrupted by the Spirit of Vengeance, are still prowling around, and you can help Alchetto to decrease their numbers.
It is targeted towards level 190-220 players, and is where players can fight Damien after completing Heroes of Maple storyline. Defeating Damien awards the players with the following level 160 AbsoLab equipment: Weapons, Hats, Overalls, Shoulders.
Note that you don't have to complete the Heroes of Maple storyline to access this area, just to fight Damien. Also, only Act 4 is required to unlock the boss.
