Bowmen, also known as Archers, are a part of Explorers and are the characters that wield Bows and Crossbows. They use long-range attacks and are capable dealing splash damage. They also have the highest accuracy, thus granting them the ability to fight Bosses earlier than the other classes. Their strength at long-range combat allows them to defeat creatures much larger than them earlier than other classes. However, they are one of the classes that have the lowest HP, causing them to wash HP or blood-mastering to gain more HP.

Job Advancements

1st Job

When you reach level 10 as a Beginner, aspiring Bowmen can go to the Bowman Instructional School in Henesys and talk to Athena Pierce, who will advance you to an Archer. You will be given a HP and MP boost, as well as a basic bowman weapon.

2nd Job

Once an Archer reaches level 30, he/she can return to the Bowman Instructional School and talk to Athena Pierce. She will give you a choice between Hunter or Crossbowman, and will allow you into another map with the task to collect 30 Dark Marbles from the Stone Golems inside. Once the Dark Marbles have been obtained, return to Athena Pierce to advance to either a Hunter or Crossbowman, depending on your choice.

3rd Job

Upon reaching level 60, you will receive a lightbulb on the side from Athena Pierce. After speaking to her, you must head to the Chief's Residence in El Nath and speak with Rene. She will send you off to defeat Athena Pierce's Clone. First, you will need to access Ice Valley II, which can be accessed via two methods:

  1. You can either walk to the right until you reach Cold Field II, and then keep taking the top portal until you reach Ice Valley II.
  2. Take the Danger Zone Taxi to Ice Valley II for a fee of 45,000 mesos.

Once you reach Ice Valley II, talk to Jeff, who will send you to Sharp Cliff I. Enter the middle portal on the bottom (indicated by a stone) to access Holy Ground at the Snowfield and click on the Holy Stone at the bottom of the map, which will send you to another dimension. Once there, walk to the right portal to enter the Dimensional World, and defeat Athena Pierce's Clone inside to collect the Black Charm. Return to Rene with the quest item in hand for a classy new job title and a new set of flashy skills.

4th Job

After reaching level 100, you will receive a lightbulb on the side from Rene. After speaking to her, you must head to Leafre and venture to the Forest of the Priest (which can be accessed by walking to Valley of the Antelope 1 and entering the portal on the top right (indicated by a wooden face-like structure) to meet Legor. He will give you the task to kill one Manon, Herald of Heroes and one Griffey Herald of Heroes to obtain Heroic Pentagon and Heroic Star, respectively. Return to Legor and then speak to him again to advance.
