Black Wings

The Black Wings is an organization founded by Orchid after the commanders of the Black Mage dispersed after his fall. The purpose of the Black Wings is to resurrect Orchid's twin brother, Lotus. The members of the Black Wings do not know the organization's real purpose, thinking that their motive is to resurrect their fallen leader.

Their leitmotif/theme BGM is BlackWing.

Story

In order to gather enough energy to resurrect the Black Mage, or rather, Lotus, the Black Wings set up base at Edelstein, Black Mage's hometown, and drew energy from Rue ores in the mines. The Black Wings took Seal Stones from all over Maple World so that they can turn back time if things go wrong.

Eventually, Gelimer found a way for Lotus to get out of his test tube, where he was being held when he was in stasis. However, Gelimer had disabled Lotus' brain, leaving his body and power functional and used him as a tool. Lotus then attacked Orchid and left her for dead where she was found by the Resistance.

In the Sengoku Era, the Black Wings form an alliance with Oda Nobunaga, sharing the common goal of reviving their masters.

• Contrary to popular belief, the Black Mage's commanders (except Orchid) have no involvement in the Black Wings. This is evident when the Demon claims to know nothing about them and when Phantom interrogates Francis trying to figure out who is in charge of the Black Wings.
