Job

Bishop is a branch of the Explorer Magician class. Upon reaching Level 30, an Explorer Magician can become a Bishop by choosing to become a Cleric after completing the 2nd Job Advancement at Level 30.Their second job is Cleric, their third job is Priest, and their fourth job is Bishop.

Class Specifics

The Bishop job branch specializes in Holy elemental skills as well as party support, including the following:

  • Bless, which increases the Attack Power and Magic Attack of party members, getting upgraded to Advanced Blessing later on.
  • Holy Symbol, which increases the EXP given to the player and their party.
  • Heal, which, as the name suggests, heals the player and their party members within range. Angel Ray, a main attacking skill in 4th job, also has this function.
  • Dispel, which cancels out most Abnormal Statuses left on the player and their party members by enemies.
  • Holy Fountain, which sets up a fountain that heals party members nearby.
  • Mystic Door, which sets up a door to the nearest town and back.
  • Holy Magic Shell, which guards against up to 10 hits.
  • Resurrection, which revives fallen party members.

Their job specialty skill is Blessed Ensemble, which gives the player extra damage for each party buff given to party members, as well as extra EXP for each job of the Cleric branch in the party. Their hyper skill Righteously Indignant also converts Angel Ray from an efficient mobbing attack to a single-target devastator; toggle it on or off as the situation requires, but be aware that many abilities are locked when single-target mode is active.

Job Advancements

1st Job Advancement

When the player reaches Level 10 as a Beginner, aspiring Magicians will be sent to the Magic Library in Ellinia to talk to Grendel the Really Old, who will advance the player to a Magician. The player will be given an HP and MP boost, as well as a basic magician weapon.

2nd Job Advancement

At Level 30, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from Grendel the Really Old, who will send the player back to the Magic Library. He will allow the player to choose to advance to either a Wizard (Fire, Poison), Wizard (Ice, Lightning), or Cleric; a player that desires to become a Bishop will want to advance to a Cleric. Grendel the Really Old will send the player to a special map to collect 30 Dark Marbles from the Zombie Lupins inside. Upon returning, he will advance you to a Cleric.

3rd Job Advancement

At Level 60, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from Grendel the Really Old once again, who will teleport the player to the Chief's Residence in El Nath to speak with Robeira. She will teleport the player to the Dead Mine's Holy Ground at the Snowfield, where the player must click on the Holy Stone at the bottom of the map to enter another dimension. Once there, walk to the right portal to enter the Dimensional World and defeat Grendel the Really Old's Clone inside to obtain the Black Charm. Return to Robeira with the quest item in hand to advance from a Cleric to a Priest.

4th Job Advancement

At Level 100, the player will receive a lightbulb on the side from Robeira. After speaking to her, the player must head to Leafre and venture to the Forest of the Priest, which can be accessed by walking to Valley of the Antelope 1 and entering the portal on the top right (indicated by a wooden face-like structure) to meet Gritto. She will give the player the task to obtain the Heroic Pentagon from Manon, Herald of Heroes and the Heroic Star from Griffey Herald of Heroes. Return to Gritto and speak to her again to advance from a Priest to a Bishop.
