Alchemy is one of the five professions of Maplestory. Players who have learned Herbalism and wish to pursue Alchemy can talk to Ally in Ardentmill to become a Alchemist.
Alchemists use flower oils and seed oils to make potions and pills of various types, including Recovery Potions, Buff Potions, and Transformation Potions, and increasing extraction capacity. Alchemists can extract up to 10 equipment (while gaining the ability to also extract Rebirth Flames, Cubes, Recipes, and Scrolls at Master Craftsman rank) from the item menu, while others can only extract up to 5 equipment, without the ability to extract flames, cubes, or scrolls. However, Alchemists can craft Extractors for other players to use, allowing them to extract up to 10 items at once.
Once Alchemists reach Master Craftsman rank, they are able to craft special potions that can increase Damage, Boss Damage, All Stats, or Ignored Enemy Defense by a certain amount, as well as lower tier Bags. Alchemists can also extract Rebirth Flames, Cubes, Recipes, and Scrolls. Upon reaching Meister rank, Alchemists can enhance these special potions to be more potent and enhance bags to carry more items.
